Course Description
This two-day workshop aims to provide PYP Learning Support teachers with practical tools and techniques to set appropriate learning goals for students, establish effective systems for progress monitoring, and explore a variety of interventions. Through interactive activities, modeling, and reflective discussions, participants will gain skills in co-planning, implementing targeted interventions, and monitoring student progress to enhance learning outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
Identify key information from psych reports to guide learning support.
Measure present levels of attainment and set appropriate IEP goals.
Establish effective systems for progress monitoring.
Match interventions to goals and collaborate with homeroom teachers.
Plan, implement, and troubleshoot targeted interventions to enhance learning outcomes.
Target Audience
Educators in the Primary Years Programme who are new to the role of Arabic or English Learning Support, or who wish to strengthen their confidence and practice in this area.
